What is a C.A.P.A certification ?
C.A.P.A's Objectives:
- Establish competitive quality standards for car body part manufacturing.
- Ensure that parts bearing the C.A.P.A quality seal meet C.A.P.A standards.
- Provide independent laboratory expertise to verify integrity and compliance with standards recognized by third-party certification programs.
- Promote the certification program to various stakeholders, including consumers, auto body shops, insurance companies, government agencies, automotive assessors, and distributors.
C.A.P.A’s policies are formulated by a board of directors consisting of nine members representing various sectors, including auto body shops, consumer groups, insurance companies, and parts distributors. Inspections and compliance checks are conducted by independent C.A.P.A validators. Competitive automotive parts that meet or exceed C.A.P.A’s quality standards for precision, materials, and corrosion resistance are allowed to display the C.A.P.A quality seal and are listed in a directory available to the automotive car body parts industry.
